John, my sister in law is the absolute worse person I know but she is a proud Obama supporter and told my brother to tell me that I must respect him and support the messiah. I hung up on him.
I try to be a good person and know you are as well.
BTW we have a new obama supporter in our midst. If we disagree with her we're not respectful. I am tired of hearing how we're not respectful to those who voted for them because we're not as pleased as punch about him but that's just me.
Hope your search is going well.

Catie, it sounds like you are surrounded by people with no integrity. I know that you and your husband are good people who are doing what is right for this nation, for mankind, and especially for your child. Having the hard-hearted comments that have been hurled at you for both the service to our nation and the special-needs child you love must seem unbearable at times.

I haven't walked your path, but I know of the pain you describe, for different reasons. When all seems too bleak, too lost, to have any hope for a better life down here on earth, the only thing that brings me comfort is that there will be a reward for those of us who remained faithful when it is all over with.

John, unfortunately there are many on the left (my husband's wife for example) who would just as soon stomp on the graves of those who have given their lives and would rather sit at the visitors center than visit the grave of a man who died in Iraq, who was at and in her sister in laws wedding, who was a hero as is all who have and do serve. I am afraid the legacy will be forgotten. There are so many stupid people in this country. Sorry to be in such a foul mood this evening.

Remember the Monty Python episode of The Black Knight? (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kNKSzmM44gE)
I'm afraid Zawihiri appears here as nothing more than The Black Knight. Despite whatever our new commander-in-chief tries to do from here on out, the fact still remains that we struck deeply into the breast of Al Qaeda, the Taliban, and Islamic Fanaticism for generations to come.

While Zawihiri screeches, I can only hear the triumphant cheers from American men and women who took the fight to his precious Iraq, Afghanistan, and Middle East at large.

Thanks to our Christian Commander-In-Chief, President Bush, we performed the quickest regime change of a major nation in history. Beyond that, we accomplished in 10 weeks what the mighty USSR couldn't accomplish in 10 YEARS in Afghanistan. President Bush led our gallant men and women into a stone age theocracy to emerge victorious, allowing women to walk the streets without terror, become educated, and form a new civilization if they can handle it.

No other country conquers like America.

After we erradicated the monster Hussein from his perch, we stayed long enough to ensure free elections for a people who don't know how to show appreciation, but we went room-to-room to do it anyway. In a time when we could have EASILY turned their despotic, nightmare of a country into glass, we performed surgical manuevers that cost us many great, patriotic men and women's lives.

That's why they are heroes. We didn't have to place incredible restraints on our soldiers (suicidal rules of engagement, etc), but we did it anyway to show these neolithic bedouins what a Christian nation is all about.

Maybe after these Middle Easterners evolve for another millenia or two, they'll begin to catch up with us Americans.

Until then, we should cheer our brave men and women in our Armed Forces for a job well done. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. We can liberate these sad people, but we can't make them behave themselves. Our job is done.

The next time we need to revisit this ancient cave called the Middle East, we will be fortunate enough to have President Bush's example to guide us on our next approach. Invade or just nuke them? At least we were graced with ONE leader who had the balls to shun popularity for the right choice: defense of this great nation against a backward people who only understand violence and power.

Now, thanks to President Bush, we have a hammer and anvil in place in the Middle East with Iran in between them. Who would have thought that we would have accomplished this much 8 years ago? I surely didn't. We must lay wreaths of thanks at our servicemen and women's feet forever, and at the legacy of George W. Bush.

Condi Rice & Colin Powell were called "house Negroes" by such African American luminaries as Harry Belafonte-has he had a hit since Bannana Boat?-Louis Farakahn, Danny Glover, etc. Of course the libs would not be upset that Rice and Powell were called the same names as many of them truly feel that is what they are. Even Powell's endorsement of The One did nothing to change many minds. Wonder if the MSM will even bother with Rice and Powell-they feel they deserve it.
