White House To Take Over The Census?

A press release from House Republican Leader John Boehner:

Leader Boehner Questions White House Takeover of U.S. Census Bureau

Nonpartisan Census Should Remain Independent of Politics, Republican Leader Says

Washington, Feb 6 – House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH) today issued the following statement regarding reports that control of the U.S. Census Bureau will be stripped from the Department of Commerce and placed with the White House staff:

I am disturbed by reports that control of the traditionally nonpartisan Census Bureau is being stripped from the Commerce Department and placed with the White House staff.  This action appears to be motivated by politics, rather than the interests of our country, and the burden will be on the new administration to prove otherwise during Senator Gregg’s confirmation hearings.  The United States Census should remain independent of politics; it should not be directed by political operatives working out of the White House.”

This is beyond preposterous.

Do we really want former ACORN thugs activists, like Messrs Obama and Emanuel, running the US Census?

Where is the outrage?

Where is any media coverage?

The obvious plan here is to change the census from an actual count of population to an estimation of population. So your local community activist can say “my neighborhood has 1000 people that you didn’t otherwise count”. The upshot of that would be to artificially inflate the population of inner city (heavily democrat or other friends of O) areas and bring more congressional seats under their control.

Also with these thousands of paper only people they can get millions of dollars in ‘aid’ distributed to themselves.

Sad, but it’s shaking out as an urban versus rural divide. That’s fine though, when it all shakes out, if the east and west urban centers split off from the center of the country the midwest and south “flyover” country has all the food and fesh water. As far as I can tell, all the east has are bankrupt banks and the west has, umm… Hollywood?

What an idiot Judd Greg is. Unfortunately, this doesn’t really surprise me.
See the messiah is taking a road trip to fly over country this next week. I grew up in IN and the only thing that I ever remember them making in Elkhart was travel trailers. Maybe things have changed (it’s been awhile since Iived there) so I’m wondering what the messiah is going to yap about to those in the Hoosier state.

  3. Can you believe he’s coming to my town next week? It was just announced today. My county is one of the higher regions of unemployment, and Barry thinks a town hall meeting here will warm our bellies and give us Hope, I guess.

John, are you going or is it invitation only? I would go to be a screw up. I’m sure the useful idiots there will all have a full belly of hope, change and how it’s W’s fault.

    • Yep! Part of me says, “Why bother?”, and the other part of me says, “It could be fun”. I’ll go if there isn’t a cover charge, and bring along my video camera to capture all the glory and majesty that is Barack Obama.

John, if you do go please post your video here. I bet it will be a hoot. Perhaps old Peggy “The Moocher” Moore will be there and she can tell the crowd how Barack has helped her put gas in her car and pay her mortgage. I sure as hell know that every month when we have that money taken out of our checking account or when I get some petrol we’re still paying the freight. It would be interesting to ask when Barack is going to start ponying up the dough.

    • Oh, I’ll definitely post it if I get anything good. :-)

  4. Control the information and you control the people. It is happening before our very eyes.

It’s not just about increasing the number of urban congressional seats, it’s about the electoral votes for 2012. We can’t let a little thing like the population increasing rapidly in the more conservative states (the South, non-Kali West) versus the traditional liberal states (the northeast and the upper midwest), put a crimp in Obama’s reelection plans…
