What Is Wrong With This Picture?

US President Elect Barack Obama walks down the steps of an Air Force jet January 4 at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. Obama will meet Monday with key congressional leaders to discuss a multi-billion-dollar economic stimulus plan Democrats hope to pass shortly after Obama takes office.
We thought we only had one President at a time. Or is that only when Mr. Obama is asked hard questions?
Still, the printing is so small. Maybe it’s just the seal of the President Select.
By the way, in case anyone is confused. The airplane here is not Air Force One.

ANDREWS AIR FORCE BASE (AP) — President-elect Barack Obama has landed in the Washington area, setting up a final march toward his Jan. 20 inauguration.
Obama landed Sunday evening at Andrews Air Force Base before heading for his temporary home at the Hay-Adams Hotel across from the White House. His wife and two young daughters made the same trip from Chicago on Saturday.
Obama landed at the military base aboard a government 757 typically used by vice presidents, first ladies and congressional leaders…
So the Presidential seal had to have been put up on this plane.
I suspect President-Elect Obama deserves only partial bashing for this faux-pas. He probably has been reasonably extended the use of Presidential equipment such as planes for travel in anticipation of his immense duties. “Air Force One” designation only applies to whatever plane the POTUS is in, not the equipment. If President Bush were in a Cessna, it would therefore be “Air Force One.”
What I would bash President-Elect Obama for is failing to extend the courtesy to President Bush to downplay and otherwise hide these showy and premature trappings of office, even if they were offered by President Bush (which they probably were). The man has not even been sworn in to office, for Pete’s sake!
Let us savor the last few weeks of having someone with class occupy 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. I hope the best for President-Elect Obama, but no one could be bred by corrupt Chicago politics and be in any way clean. Just not possible.

I mentioned this in a post from yesterday. When it was happening in “real time” the stupid local ABC affiliate did a picture in picture during the Home Makeover show of him landing. I thought when they opened the door, I saw that but in yesterdays Washington Times it was pretty clear but no comment was made under the picture. I do fault him though because if it’s used by the VP, the FL or Congressional Fools the seal would not be on their planes. He should have had it either removed or covered up. But he’s had his own foolish “seal” for awhile now so why would he balk at the chance to be photographed using the real thing 16 days early. I’m sure it also upset him to no end that there were flags on this plane instead of his “seal”.
Yes, Air Force One is only called that when the POTUS is on board but this fool has a messianic view of himself and could care less.
BTW, since I changed stations as soon as the PIP popped up does anyone know if he did the obligatory handshake for the military staff? Just curious as I used to live next to a Marine that had been the pilot on Marine One at the start of Clinton’s term. He said his salute was sloppy at best and he rarely shook hands unless a camera was around.
What’s wrong you ask? He’s the next President….That’s what’s wrong!!
