Open-Minded, Tolerant Liberals Of NYC

From a street fair on the Upper Westside of Manhattan:

A Pro-McCain march on the Upper West Side in Manhattan on Sunday, September 21, 2008

A group of McCain-Palin supporters dare to march through the Upper West Side – infidels in the liberal Mecca. Local “progressives” boo, jeer, and flip fingers at them with a rage they never display even to this country’s enemies. We would like them to take a look at themselves in this video and maybe learn a few things about the human condition that the academia has obviously left out.

Who are the totalitarians?

  1. Sir Corky

I moved back to NY two weeks ago and have already experienced the “tolerant” liberals of the area. I have a McCain/Palin sticker on the back of my car and when I went to register to vote in this state, a couple of black women called me a racist, an a-hole, and also added some white racial slurs. I can’t think of any reason for them to do that other than the fact that I had that sticker, and I know they saw it, because they got out of the car behind me. When we were waiting on line at the voter registration center they were right behind me and one got on her phone and started talking about the “white hick” they saw (I still have Kentucky plates on my car).

    So tolerant.

These are the rich liberals, mind you, who have their hands dirty with the stock market. Don’t think bankers don’t live on the Upper West Side — and don’t think they vote Republican!

Now, these booing morons will soon get their payback. Once Obama is in office, he will quickly betray all the groups who got him into office. Antiwar candidate? Watch what he does with Pakistan. Pro-Latino candidate? Watch how he tries to please organized labor by closing the border (he voted for the border wall, after all.) Good Christian man? You just wait to see what he does with abortion. Pro-middle-class? Haha, let’s see how quickly he backslides on his promise of a tax break to 95% of working families — more likely, he’ll claim Bush left such a mess he just *has* to go back on that promise. The health care guru? He’ll create the medical version of Fannie Mae and all these people will be hurting badly. Pro-Jewish candidate? Just wait to see how he screws up the situation with the Palestinian occupied territories, and gets himself into quicksand with Iran.

What will be fun, of course, will be to kick back and watch these liberal idiots implode. As a conservative professor, I can’t wait to see academics talk themselves into knots trying to explain why their own dear candidate shot them all in the chest.

  3. Sir Corky

    Latinos,

“Once Obama is in office?” Don’t give up the fight yet, even if it does seem to be a losing battle…

But seriously, is it time for another Civil War yet? Don’t tell me we couldn’t take these whiny liberals.

  4. Doug

Civil war? No reason to be civil in war.

I doubt that armed conflict is going to be needed to resolve this. It might be, but 4 years of Obama plus Pelosi will lead to the greatest economic meltdown that this country has ever seen. With that will come riots. So far (despite controlling the house and senate for the past few years) they have managed to blame Bush and convince people that he’s the problem.

After four years of no one but Obama Pelosi to blame, the democratic party will be run out of this country on a rail and it will never come back. The only question then will be what we need to do to pick up the pieces and put this country back together.

Does anyone else suspect that Obamalosi thinks the moral of the Ant and the Grasshopper is that the ant should have his property confiscated so the grasshopper can survive the winter? The problem with that mentality is that when the grasshoppers outnumber the ants the whole concept breaks down.

Just five miles south from the Upper West Side lies the fruits of elite liberalism. We call it Ground Zero.

Gee, kind of gives you an idea of what Christ witnessed on his way to the cross. How can so many be with you when all Hell breaks loose only a short time later call for your crucifixion?

Forgive them. They know not what they do. They’re hopelessly liberal & not encouraged to think for themselves.

  6. Liberals Demise

Why should we be civil if they declare war? They have you know. Get your ammo now before they come to steal away your 2nd Amendment Rights. We have already seen the 4th Estate slip into the Commie red sunset. Sad to say that if HObama doesnt win, the AFRO part of these United States will turn major cities into ash piles. But no worries….they have already stolen the election and the NAACP is gonna monitor the voting places. I feel warm and fuzzy all over! Is the U.N. too busy to donate a few blue helmets to help monitor?

  7. Latinos4JohnnyMac

    @ Corky,

I wish I could say I haven’t given up, but I feel like an Obama victory is all but inevitable, and I guess I find solace in imagining that we will be shut out of power, and given a chance to purify ourselves. It will be horrible, but maybe America needs to drink the Obama poison so they get this national socialism out of their system.

I wonder if Ann Coulter or whoever runs this site can create a closed webgroup for those of us who’ve been posting a lot on this site. We should form a community of thinkers if Obama wins, and stay in contact over the next 4 years to strategize a new movement. I feel like the Republican Party isn’t going to fight for us and we have to redefine conservative into something new. We should be grassroots about it and uncouple it from the establish conservatives who have failed to stop Obama.

  8. catie

Gee Latinos, it must be terrible at your work place? I thought it was bad when I was still teaching but thankfully I am no longer doing that work. I can’t imagine.
Sir Corky, I recently was at a baby shower for a friend of ours (well actually my husband was in ROTC with her in college but she’s mostly my friend now) where I was the only white person there. I was the only white person at her bridal shower and wedding about 6 years ago (before we moved to HI) and it was fine. But her s-i-l said “Tavia, why did you invite a cracker?”. She did apologize but it was tearing her up inside to do it.
Today, I was reading in the Washington comPost where some hotel in Prince Georges, MD had a McCain sign up and the dims all called to complained and talked about the NAACP coming down there because they used that hotel a few times for various functions. Whatever happened to freedom of speech, thought and expression? Well, I will boycott any business with an Obama sticker or sign in it. Seems to be okay for the Obamatons but we know this is a one way street.

After the Obama victory, and yes I have given up, the question arises (from Corky): “I wonder if Ann Coulter or whoever runs this site can create a closed webgroup for those of us who’ve been posting a lot on this site?”

My own sense is that the site should continue and simply be named GetDrunk.com. I’m told by my doctor I mustn’t drink, but the alternative of HitHardDrugsAndGoIntoAComa.com lacks something in the way of grace and humor.

Anyway, it’s going to be a long, grim four years, and while I doubt we will be plunged into civil war (more like the Spanish than the American one BTW, should such happen), the problem is that it can’t be ruled out. What is about to take place is extremely serious and the opportunities for destruction by the party in control are extreme. This can only go on for so long until the costs of continuing exceed the costs of fighting back. Yes, that would be a bad development.

  10. Sir Corky

“I wonder if Ann Coulter or whoever runs this site can create a closed webgroup for those of us who’ve been posting a lot on this site.”

Or we could just build a big bomb shelter and live there for four years.

Regardless, I still haven’t given up on McCain. Bush was behind by pretty much the same margin eight years ago, and he still managed to win. Of course, his opponent wasn’t the anointed one, but still, it gives me a little hope. If Palin can keep spouting all of the Obama truths, the MSM will have no choice but to report on them. Maybe the message will break through to some of the Obamamaniacs (Obamaniacs?)

  11. I wonder if Ann Coulter or whoever runs this site can create a closed webgroup for those of us who’ve been posting a lot on this site.

    Sounds like a good idea.

  12. catie

Second that one Mike & Snakehandler. Barkeep another round please!

  13. BBINMO

A ‘tolerant’ liberal is an oxymoron. And if a liberal is the one saying it, it’s a moron stating an oxymoron

  14. James Spurgeon

    Riots? Civil war? Bomb shelters?

Cheer up, guys. It ain’t that bad. Are we being a little . . . reactionary? LOL

The people of this country are smarter and more resilient than you think. Even an Obama presidency (which ain’t gonna happen) would not be the end of the world–maybe bad, but not the end of the world.

As for the OP, those of us in the heartland who actually work for a living and think for ourselves recognize elitist fools when we see them. Let’s just try to keep them up there in their opulent ghetto for as long as we can so they can’t spread their pestiferous ideas and attitudes to the general populace.

  15. Liberals Demise

A little late don’t you think there James? So you don’t think they have already spread their crap wrapped filth amoung the populace? They have crawled down from Mount High and are literally stealing the election and Bamboozling the SHEEP of America! Christ all Mighty!! The limeys have already minted a OBAMA Presidential gold coin that will be BLING in the pockets of ACORN!! Beware all you mid-westerners who own guns….you are the 1st on their books when the gun grab comes!!

  16. catie

Anyone who doesn’t think he’s chomping at the bit to replace up to 3 members of the Supremes isn’t thinking. One of the first cases they’ll bring is either going to be abortion up until the second before birth or guns-remember that case was a 5-4 split. Healthcare isn’t in the Bill of Rights-guns are-but guess which one is now considered a “right” and which isn’t!

  17. Sir Corky

    James,

I was only kidding about the civil war line. I was only trying to say that conservatives could kick the crap out of wimpy liberals, unless they’ve somehow discovered how to harness the power of polar bears. Ah whatever, we could still shoot them too.

Speaking of which, I need to try to buy a gun soon.

  18. wardmama4

I can’t believe that some of you 1) believe that msm drivel that Obama is going to win – there are no absolutes in life other than death (if we work hard enough we can get rid of taxes – hey, I can dream) and 2) have given up on America.

In my heavily Dem area – they are not going for the big O – the reason – yes, they are long time Dems (union people) but they are Catholics and with them Life trumps Party, most especially with such an extreme liberal. In another heavily Dem state, my dem family (yeah, I know I wonder how I came to be so conservative surrounded by so many liberals) is voting against all Dems – they are disgusted with the mess their Dem state gov has given them.

When you add in all the people who will vote against the ’special interest groups’ that Obama panders to – well his win is not a lock.

And yes, it appears that the stupid, oops educationally challenged, the American Idol watching dollards and the foaming at the mouth barking moonbats – are a lot of America – it isn’t true. The msm has an agenda (which would make Leni Riefenstahl proud or is that ashamed she didn’t think of all that they’ve done?!?) – they have not investigated, nor questioned, nor even fairly reported on the candidate they are in the tank for – meanwhile blatantly lying about the other candidates day after day. So you are not hearing the truth – unless you search for it, you believe that cheaters will profit, and more (sad to me) you do not believe that at least 50.1% of America can think of, believe in and do the right thing.

It will be because of people like you – who have given up just as we get to the Red Zone – that Obama could win. Don’t give up – keep talking, keep researching and go vote. Meanwhile, buy ammo, stock up on non-perishables, cash and be prepared if indeed ACORN et al manage to steal the election for Obama.

Remember to vote Republican (and believe me with that RHINO and ‘bi-partisan’ McCain as our ‘chosen’ leader, I am not happy at all with the RNC) but we need to have Republicans in as many positions from local up to state up to Federal – to at least help to offset what will happen. Pray for Cindy Sheehans campaign (as that will mean Pelosi is unseated) and remember – these are human beings in a World on the edge right now – something totally unexpected can happen tomorrow which would change the direction of this election in a heartbeat.

Just please don’t buy into the msm drivel – they are so in the tank – they don’t deserve to be called news at all anymore.

  19. catie

Wardmama, I will laugh my butt off if old Sheehan unseats the botox queen. I am not giving up.

  20. I am not giving up either. In fact have sent Team McCain more money.. I figure it wont be worth anything if O-Who wins anyhow.

BUT.. I have been practicing hunting squirrels. May need that staple soon enough.

Yep.. us crazy right wingers clinging to our ..freedom.

  21. Miss Scarlett

    Dear Sir Corky,

As fabulous as NYC is, Louisville is much nicer! Move back to Kentucky–for the sake of your sanity! After living in Manhattan for four years, I left the moment Hilary won her Senate seat. (BTW: Feminist? Hilary? At least Sarah did not ride on the coattails of her husband in order to garner political success!) Unfortunately, I am now living in the trenches of Obamanation–downtown Chicago. But, alas, most of my Chicago friends (some single, some married, all in women in their 30s), are voting for MCCAIN! And, of course, we love Palin too!

I find the protests of the NYC liberals–and all liberals, in general–to be utterly infuriating! I like how the video of the MCCAIN march revealed how all-accepting and non-judgmental liberals really are.

There is hope, however! To paraphrase Dick Morris: This election isn’t over by a longshot! Keep the faith!
