Sarah Palin should be censured

on October 7, 2008Sarah Palin should apologize to the Obama campaign and the American people for her role in bringing out the worst in her supporters.
During a campaign rally yesterday in Clearwater, Florida supporters turned on the media after Palin again blamed mainstream media for her shortcomings.
According to a published report in the Washington Post, Palin reporters turned on the press after she blamed the media for her inarticulate interviews. Some supporters used racial slurs, and at one point someone in the audience yelled: “Kill him.”
Palin’s pit-bull mentality has not only set a negative tone, but a dangerous one. She should be censured.
Really? Is that the way it works?
All right then, let’s get busy.

I hate that Palin reminds me of Susan Sarandon’s feisty character in “Thelma & Louise.” I loved Sarandon in that movie, yet I couldn’t stand Palin’s feistiness at the Republican National Convention.
Sarah Palin makes me sick — not because she may speak in tongues — but because she is a fast talker…
It irks me that Palin is being painted as some kind of “New Age Feminist” by the so-called “elite” media.
She isn’t.
Palin is a fresh face on a weary campaign trail, and a jack-in-the-box in this election…
Frankly, Sarah Palin scares me…
Sarah Palin makes me sick because although black Democrats have been responsible for giving white candidates the boost they needed to beat their Republican opponents in tight races, these voters are now being insulted by feminists who say they will cross over into the McCain camp because of her.
How can that be?
Palin’s extreme views on abortion (she once said she would be against her daughter having an abortion even in the case of incest or rape) and her support of abstinence-only programs should make her a laughingstock to feminists.
Instead, she’s a star.
That ought to be enough to make any true feminist sick.
Double-standards much?
If it weren’t for double standards, Flession-democrats and liberals would have none.

Just another angry liberal voicing her love for the other party. I think the end game is to censure anyone who speaks other than what the libs think. Its going to be ugly if the fairness doctrine is back in play.

What does “should be censured” even mean? Who would be doing this censuring? What would it entail? Is she suddenly a member of a legislative body that can discipline its members? Or does Mitchell merely mean that the press should bitch and moan about Palin? If that’s the case, Palin’s been censured every day for the past six weeks, so Mitchell’s column is as pointless as it is idiotic and poorly written.
Mary Mitchell makes me sick because altough I am sure she would say “its shouldn’t be about race” she thinks this race should be about race. She feels that feminists should stick with Obama because they owe black Democrats. Mary Mitchell should be censured for this race baiting comment. This sort of comment is dangerous.
These folks are confusing the heck out of me. I thought they wanted to talk about the economy. McCain and Palin seem to want to talk about energy independence, taxes, a mortgage rescue plan, spending freezes, and lots of economic issues. Why won’t Obama stay on topic (without lying)?
Latinos – When you are running on your personality its hard to run on a record of accomplishment. He can promise change but he can’t prove he can get it done (despite the “Yes we can” mantra).When you dont have record to run on you lie about the other guy.
McCain has a record (for good or for ill) of accomplishment, Obama has nothing but the “hope of the promise of tomorrow”.
So supposedly because someone in the crowd (a plant maybe) yells ‘kill him’ – it is Palin’s fault and she should be censured (i.e. drop out of the race, so that Obama can win)?
I love these people who want to silence those whose opinions, life, beliefs, and morals are different than theirs. I am also amazed since these are the very same people who have been defending slime, lies, distortions, out right threats and disruptions (Code Pink) as ‘free’ speech for the past 8 years.
These people need to lose and lose big – and the best way to ’silence’ them – stop buying their newspapers, magazines, books and movies – let them lose what little voice and power they have and once the movers and shakers in political power are thrown out of office – perhaps they will get the point that no one is ‘entitled’ to win in an election. Most especially because of his/her color.
I mentioned it on other posts, but I’ll say it here as well. At the California Palin rally I volunteered at, the pro-Obama protestors were obnoxious and pushy and trying very hard to provoke us. This is all part of the tactic. It’s hard, but the McCain officials were successful at restraining us from hitting the protestors. We show more control and decorum than the Obama people, by far.
@Latinos-I don’t know about you but sometimes I am tired of being the good kid all the time. I mean seriously, I’m not advocating acting all clownish like they do but once in awhile it’s sometimes fun to tell them to f-off. I am sure the McCain folks were telling everyone to be on their toes, I would expect no less. But am I the only one who feels like this? My neighbors two houses down had their tires slashed this morning because they had a McCain/Palin sign in their front yard. The note left on their vehicle said “Betcha you don’t want to really vote for McShame do ya?”. Nice folks, probably the same ones who keyed my car. These people cost us money yet we’re supposed to behave. I don’t get it. Off my soap box now.

Here! Here! No despair yet! With the exception of baba70 (a great name since ‘baba’ means ‘drool’ in Spanish), the folks on this site show enough intelligence to assure me, there will be a countermovement against the Obama Nation. And I don’t think there will be Democratic Fascism, since Democrats can’t run anything well (look at all the cities in the Rust Belt they’ve controlled for 50+ years) and they’d never be able to coordinate the government efficiently enough to become fascists. As for Mexican gangs, I should tell you that Sarah Palin’s Oct. 5 rally in Carson, California, was chock full of muscular Hispanic men who were willing to do anything to keep Ms. Palin safe. You’d be surprised how many Latinos are on your side — and we’re willing to fight the Mexican gangs just as you are!

My bet — which is scary but secretly satisfying — is that the Palin rallies will turn into full-on hockey mob-style brawls by the end of October. The McCain-Palin supporters are finally reaching their boiling point with these Obamista protestors, and if it’s clear we’re going to lose anyway, we might as well go out in style. To quote that line from Elmer Gantry, “slug ‘em once for Jesus!”

Someone already has in my neighborhood. You see, someone decided it was a good idea to place these bumper stickers ( http://wondermark.com/st_bumper.jpg ) around cars with Obama/Leftist bumper stickers. Then said person would watch from his window (which, I’d imagine, has a pretty good view of his or her parking lot) as his/her neighbors would walk out to their cars and see this (especially this one car that is filled with bumper stickers that compares John McCain to Hitler, thus utilizing a RL integration of Godwin’s Law), he or she would laugh his ass off from a safe vantage point. I bet this person is also tall, quite handsome, and dashing too. I’m sure, though, that this person would be married, because someone who does such things couldn’t be single for very long.
Now, I can’t condone such things, as doing it is considered vandalism. However, I would like to personally thank this person for doing such a noble act. So, if you wish to grab these stickers…to place on your car, here is the url. You should order lots of them and…place them all over your car!
