Halloween Palin Prop Sparks Controversy In WeHo
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (AP) ― A Halloween decoration showing a mannequin dressed as vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin hanging by a noose from the roof of a West Hollywood home is drawing giggles from some passers-by and gasps of outrage from others.
The mannequin is dressed in brunet wig, glasses and a red business suit. Another mannequin dressed as John McCain emerges from a flaming chimney.
Chad Michael Morisette, who lives in the house, told CBS 2 News that drivers and bus passengers have been stopping to snap pictures of the macabre scene.
Morisette says the effigy would be out of bounds at any other time of year, but it’s within the spirit of Halloween.
He says “it should be seen as art, and as within the month of October. It’s Halloween, it’s time to be scary it’s time to be spooky.”
It is perhaps understandable that the denizens of West Hollywood would especially loathe Mrs. Palin.
Creator of the display, Chad Michael Morrisette, says his subjects are fair game during the Halloween season.
But isn’t ‘lynching’ someone in effigy a hate crime? Isn’t even being in possession of a noose against the numerous laws these days?
Or is it different if the targets are white? Or Republican?
Or perhaps the perpetrator being a homosexual gives him a free pass?
Still, aren’t both Mr. McCain and Mrs. Palin “protected persons” under federal law?
Again, such laws probably don’t not apply as strictly for members of the GOP.
But ironically, many of these laws were enacted to protect Republicans from the Democrat terrorists of the Ku Klux Klan.
When liberals pull such shenanigans, it’s “edgy.” If any conservative dares to do so, it’s “hateful.” Such is what political correctness has wrought.
Personally I am hoping to see an Effigal Lynching of the entire Legislature.. Now THAT would be a sight!

Flession, last year we had a witch on our porch that had a loop of Hillary’s laugh set up so that everytime someone came to the door it would go off. I think this year instead of doing that again (which we were going to do) maybe we’ll make the witch Nancy Pelosi. If I only knew where I could get some syringes I could put them in her face for “botox” treatments. Either way I’m planning on doing something, just not real creative, guess I’m not “edgy” enough. Any ideas?
If we hang BO or Joe Biden will that be “edgy”? No, the thinskinned dims will say it’s a “hate crime”.

Of course, they’re asking what the motive is, and make many hints that it’s race related. In this case, the cutout was hung by a fishing hook stuck through the top of the head, and strung to a tree in that fashion, with a note that said “Act Six reject.” I’m honestly surprised it didn’t get more press.
I’d like to know what those students from Oregon think about this Sarah Palin effigy. Is race obviously the cause as it was for B.Hussein O.? If not, why?
I wanted to ask those folks in that article what they thought….too bad their emails were not available. But, I doubt we’d get a coherent answer anyway.
I think a “EFFIGY” portraying the two Butter Cups should be hung up across the street some where and see if some one prosecutes the ones that hung it up for a Hate Crime !
