Obama’s Kenyan relative arrested on drug charge

Saturday, January 31, 200NAIROBI, Kenya — The half-brother of President Barack Obama was arrested for alleged possession of marijuana on Saturday near his home in a Nairobi shantytown, police said.
George Obama, who is in his 20s and barely knows the president, had one joint of marijuana on him, said Joshua Omokulongolo, the police chief in the area.
"He is not a drug peddler," Omokulongolo told The Associated Press. "But it’s illegal, it’s a banned substance."
George Obama has a court appearance scheduled Monday morning…
Several of President Obama’s Kenyan relatives went to Washington, D.C., for his inauguration, but George was not among them. He lives in Huruma with extended family…
He also said he was studying to be a mechanic and works with a local youth group in Huruma.
In President Obama’s book "Dreams From My Father," he describes George Obama as "a handsome, roundheaded boy with a wary gaze." …
Luckily our watchdog media has already pronounced that all stories about Mr. Obama’s extended family will only be treated as “human interest.”
Still, where does Mr. Obama (George) find the money for recreational drugs? Or does he grow his own?
Or maybe like his half-brother, he has his own set of priorities.

Is this the same guy who lives on $20 a year? Just curious. Oh well, perhaps it runs in the family. I wouldn’t know, I’m probably one of the few people in America who has never did drugs but I do admit to drinking frequently under age.
I don’t know much about Kenya.
But I’m surprised that somebody would get arrested there for one joint.
Maybe he can get a presidential pardon?
OT has anyone heard from Celina who is in AK regarding how they’re doing up there with the impending Volcanic eruption. BTW they’re saying Sarah Palin is neglecting her state (well at least the local yocals here in DC).
Since the Global Warming nuts think that humans can control nature, let’s send Al Gore there (sorry to do that to you Alaskans!) to negotiate with the volcano, it probably just wants a slice of the bailout money…

They don’t know anything about democracy, or what’s in America’s best interest, so they come up with this warming nonsense. It’s like the kid who avoids homework at all costs. This is why the popular side wins. Do what’s easy, not what’s difficult or for the future. That’s how they win. As far as this distant brother is concerned. Look, he’s lucky he’s over there and got caught immediatley. There more tough on drug use then we are here. Over here, he’d be able to put the drug money towards his distant brothers campaign. As for sarah, well I’m not to happy with the dinner party she attended this weekend. But, I guess you have to do what you gotta do to keep your visability out there. It stinks though. The conserv. reps, Ann, Beck, Rush, Malkin, etc. they would have to participate in this smile and break bread with the other side and compromise themselves. Then who would we have to believe in?. Plus your right too, there’s no money in it. Let them make their money and stay principled, rather then just have a govt. position and have to hobnob with the other side.
