What this lame brain doesn't realize it this isn't Chi-town (I grew up in NW Indiana myself and yes we would be in school if we got 3-4 inches of snow but not if we had ice like we had on Weds.) we're not used to this kind of weather and while we have plows, salt trucks, etc. they're still trying to catch up and hope it melts and drains before a re-freeze. BTW I believe he last really lived on Oahu when he was 18 (not counting the time he spent in Indonesia) and that's nearly 30 if not 30 years ago and has spent most of his time on the mainland living in cold weather areas.
