		<description>Well, I don&#039;t get it myself and it saddens me. 
A bit off topic but of course the talking heads are making a big deal about the Powell endorsement this morning.  We have a friend who was at the White House (military aide) during some of his tenure as Secretary of State.  This guy felt that Powell felt (and probably rightly so) that he was getting screwed mostly by Cheney but by the Administration.  I think he would have come out for any democrat and Powell, while fiscally conservative,  is a social liberal.  I also think race did play a role in it no matter what he says and I think he is trying to find a way to &quot;redeem&quot; himself in the eyes of  many of the elites in DC.</description>
