Classic liberal passive agressiveness a la Matt Lauer:

“Don’t you think it’s time for all of us to pull together and face issues rather than focus on what divides us?”

What the Hell does that mean? Why do liberals always spew these meaningless Hallmark canards? For Christ’s sake, where was there sense of pulling together when Bush wanted to privatize Social Security and save the Kurds? Or weren’t those real issues?

The passive aggressiveness is driving me insane. I have stayed away from all news and discussion for a month and it still hasn’t been long enough! Yuck!

Lol, that was great. I especially liked the opening salvo, where she bitch-slapped Lauer and NBC right off the bat from his opening set-up: “…but this source never had to retract a news story about exploding GM trucks!”

Matt, Harry, Matt, Harry…..Please, please, stop causing yourselves all this pain. Poor Ann Curry, she looked like she couldn’t change the subject fast enough. Ha! Ha! 3 hits, Hannity&Colmes, Poor Harry, Poor Matt, No Misses!! Just brilliant I tell ya!!
All that brain power in that skinny body. Do you really think it’s those books that annoy people! Please…. By the way Poor Harry and Poor Matt. Walk around a shopping mall on a Fri. or Sat. night and look at the nuclear families. 15,16,17, in low crotch jeans, cleavage busting out of tank tops. Hoodie Jackets, that really don’t fit like jackets, more like I gotta show belly button ring and tattoo barely above my crack. They don’t work, still living at home….and of course… a 1 year old in the baby carriage, a toddler running around, detroying the place. Low and behold there’s a bump sticking out of her tummy. This crap took over oh I’d say after Hollywood gave us An Unmarried Woman and Kramer vs. Kramer, Madonna, those G-rated rap videos on BET. Those lovely Women’s magazines in grocery stores. Nothing like buying my milk and bread and feeling not the least bit embarrased when a senior citizen shakes their head in dismay at cozy titles like you’re orgasm face and swinging should make a come back. Sorry, maybe Ann should resort to writing for children. You know when you read a children’s book, there’s always pictures. Maybe, then Poor Harry, and Poor Matt….the cast of the View next Mon. minus Elisabeth. Maybe then, YOU WILL GET IT!!!!!

Matt, you’ve been an arse for quite sometime but as good as Ann was today, the bubble heads who for the most part watch the “Today” show (the same group that typically watches The Spew) probably still don’t get it. Ann is a master of dealing with clowns like this. She handed Alan his dinner the other night as she handed Matt and Harry their breakfast this past two days.
BTW I’m loving this book.

This was yet another display of someone with one hand tied behind her back absolutely demolishing an opponent. The awkwardness of NBC having to re-schedule Ann is painfully apparent when:
1) Matt opened his mouth to proclaim that the allmighty NBC DIDN’T ban Ann for life, so there.
2) Matt tried to ‘flip the script’ like any child does, and claim that Ann herself made the quote about being “banned for life by NBC”.
3) Matt turns antagonistic after the first attempt of his is beautifully countered by Ann.

The rest of this embarrassing display shows a red-faced Matt desperately trying to play Gotcha with this master, and, unlike Harry Smith, Matt knows that he can’t win a debate against Ann, so he tries to bait her with seemingly-sincere questions. Not quite the same fiasco that Smith performed (where Harry’s personal feelings got the best of him) yesterday, but a shoddy interview, nonetheless.

Where’s the Journalism, here? I’m a graduate of the same university that Matt attended in the beginning of his coke years, and there’s a school of journalism there named after Scripps. I’m sorry, but to look at the crop of mind-numbed idiots who graduate from these esteemed places grow into such namby-pamby, squealing, airheads is an embarrassment to watch.

Where’s the inquisitive reporter who wants to ask Ann questions in order to learn something about her philosophy, perspective, background, etc? I’ve now watched 2 networks “serve the public” by interviewing a serious author of many books, and I can’t say that I have learned ONE thing of value about her new book, which is supposed to be the focus of these “professional” interviews.

There’s got to be hundreds of pages from Ann’s new book, but after 20 minutes of analysis, the only thing that the intrepid Smith and Lauer have shown us is a kid poking an animal with a stick.
