Maybe French Subtitles Would Help

John Kerry appeared on Meet the Press this morning opposite Joe Lieberman. Among the topics discussed was this campaign’s latest TV ad, Celeb.

The script for the ad reads:

ANNCR: He’s the biggest celebrity in the world. But, is he ready to lead?

With gas prices soaring, Barack Obama says no to offshore drilling. And, says he’ll raise taxes on electricity. Higher taxes, more foreign oil, that’s the real Obama.

Can John Kerry go on national television and pontificate about an ad he didn’t watch? Yes he can!

Of course these are the kind of ads that Mr. Kerry calls “character assassination.”
